In between ongoing trade war with USA China opens the door for Indian Pharma

China has announced to reduce the duties on the Indian medicines and also encourage to import medicines from India. Indian medicines which are comparatively cheaper and high in quality when compared to generic medicines from European countries.

India and China both agreed to reduce taxes on the Indian medicines especially cancer medicines. The demand for cancer medicines in China is very high and Indian medicines are a lot cheaper than medicines manufactured in any other countries.

‘Dying to Survive’ a black comedy movie based on a Chinese businessman who imports generic medicines from India to provide affordable treatment to leukaemia patients in the country. This movie has opened really well at Chinese box office and collected $140 million.

This movie has also made an impact on Chinese citizens and also forced the officials to think about the simplifying taxes and encouraging the import of generic medicines manufactured in India.
