Dhadak: Janhvi’s presence creates an aura on big screen, Ishaan looks Promising

Dhadak a remake of Marathi movie Sairat has released today. Ishaan Khattar and Janhvi Kapoor have played the lead role in the movie. Sairat which has been released in April 2016 and was directed by famous Director Nagraj Manjule was a blockbuster and has been a pathbreaking movie in Marathi cinema. Sairat has managed to earn more than 100 crores. Dharma Productions bought the rights of the movie to remake it in Hindi. In Shashank Khaitan direction Janhvi has made her debut in Bollywood.

Coming to the movie, there were lots of expectations for Dhadak because of original’s performance at box office. They somewhat managed to fulfil the expectations but there lacks something. Nagraj Manjule has crafted the characters which are memorable. Parshya and Archi have made their impact on the audience through their locale touch. Dhadak which depicts the story of Madhukar and Parthavi. They live in Udaipur. Parthavi belongs to an upper caste family while Madhukar belongs to lower caste that’s become the reason of conflict between these two families.

Ishaan has played the character of Madhukar really well but somewhat lags behind. Madhukar has lots of energy and played the phase of confliction really well. He has pulled off the character of small-town guy well. He looks promising in his character. Ishaan and his vibrant relationship with his friends have been shown brilliantly in this movie. Ishaan has shown his potential through this performance.

Janhvi Kapoor has played the character of Parthvi who belongs to an upper-caste family. Her presence on the screen creates an aura. She reminds us of the charm of her mom Sridevi in some scenes. She has beautifully portrayed the character of a fearless girl who is also caring apart from being headstrong. Janhvi who made her debut through Dhadak creates a positive impact on the viewer’s mind. She looks beautiful and promising in each and every frame. She somewhat fulfils the expectations. If we are not keeping the character of Archi in our mind and see her performance in context of Rinku Rajguru performance we can easily identify her potential to pull off a character which was really tough to depict on celluloid, but Janhvi somewhat successfully played her part which will stay in the viewer’s mind for a long time.
